On June 29 of this year, the first business forum of women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held within the framework of the visit.
The forum was attended by a delegation of women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan, covering almost all sectors of the country's economy, in particular industry, services, agriculture, handicrafts.
The women entrepreneurs of both countries who spoke during the event noted the importance and relevance of the forum, which undoubtedly became a good platform for exchanging experience and discussing topical issues on the development and capacity-building of entrepreneurship in various spheres of both countries.
At the end of the event, a memorandum of understanding on the development of bilateral relations was signed between the Club of Women Entrepreneurs under the Commission on Enhancing the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and the Family and the Association for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
As a result of the meetings held in the "B2B" format between women entrepreneurs of the two countries, 19 agreements and memoranda worth more than $ 54 million were signed, the information service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
