The delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the inter-ministerial consultations on regional security issues

    On April 20, 2022, consultations on regional security issues were held in Moscow at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States.

    The Republic of Uzbekistan was represented at the event by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov.

    The participants of the consultations discussed issues of ensuring security in the SCO space, as well as exchanged views on topical regional and international issues.

    Special attention is paid to the coordination of the efforts of the SCO member states in the Afghan direction.

    At the same time, within the framework of the event, the delegations were informed about the implementation of the priorities of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the SCO, the main events held and the elaboration of draft documents planned for signing at the Samarkand summit of the Organization in September this year, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
