The delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the VIII Kurultai of the Turkic peoples

    The VIII Kurultai of the Turkic peoples was held in Hungary, which was attended by a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Minister of Culture Yusufjon Usmanov.

    The festival was attended by representatives of more than 27 Turkic peoples and about 200 thousand guests and residents of Hungary, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    Representatives of the National Assembly of Hungary, the Organization of Turkic States, TURKSOY, TurkPA and others also attended the Kurultai.

    As a result of the negotiations held by the delegation, agreements were reached to deepen cooperation and implement joint projects with Uzbekistan, in particular, to hold large-scale days of Uzbek culture in Hungary.

    The Kurultai program included a fire show, a large-scale archaeological and anthropological exhibition, demonstrations by soldiers, an army parade of cavalry troops with thoroughbred horses, performances by archers, a presentation of falconry, a demonstration of steppe equestrian combat, kurash wrestling competitions, performances by creative groups from Turkic-speaking countries.

    The performances of Uzbek artists were warmly welcomed by the audience. They demonstrated the richness of our country's cultural heritage. Artists from Uzbekistan presented such traditional genres as makom and bakhshi, which are an integral part of the cultural heritage of our people.

    The entrance gates and the Bukhara Bazaar exhibition complex were built at the organized fair. Unique expositions of the Turkic peoples were deployed near its walls. The main stand was occupied by artisans from Uzbekistan, who demonstrated their best works.

    Visitors were able to see ceramics, miniatures, wooden and metal jewelry, magnificent embroidery and much more.

    During the exhibition, the festival participants could not only see unique works of art, but also purchase them, which allowed them to bring a piece of Uzbek culture into their homes.

    An educational forum was also held within the framework of the Kurultai, where issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of education were discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of academic exchanges, double degree programs, as well as joint research projects. The participants discussed the prospects of new educational initiatives aimed at sharing experience and knowledge in the field of science, technology and culture.

    In general, the participation of the Uzbek delegation in the Kurultai was aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Hungary. Thanks to such events, the residents of Hungary had the opportunity to get to know the rich culture of our country better.
