“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the
brutal and ongoing ballistic missile and UAV attacks by Iran, the latest of
which occurred early this morning and was aimed again at civilian targets, such
as Kuwait International Airport, resulting in the death of one person,” the
statement said. Several people were also injured.
The Ministry added that the attack damaged critical
infrastructure, including diplomatic missions.
Earlier, Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil
Aviation reported that the international airport's T1 passenger terminal was
attacked by drones and missiles launched from Iran. Following the incident,
officials suspended all flights, and the national carrier, Kuwait Airways,
canceled flights until further notice. On Wednesday night, the Kuwaiti Ministry
of Defense announced that it had repelled air attacks across the country,
