EU strengthens cooperation with Central Asia on water, energy and climate

    The first meeting of the Team Europe initiative on water, energy and climate change, the flagship of the EU Global Gateway strategy, was held in Tashkent.

    The five Central Asian countries and the EU have agreed on common priorities for the development of sustainable energy, efficient water use and climate adaptation.

    The representatives of the European Commission noted the importance of joint actions and emphasized support for major regional projects, including the Kambarata and Rogun HPPs.

    The initiative aims to strengthen partnerships, attract investment, and develop innovative solutions for the region's sustainable future.
