The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership

    On July 12, 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

    The issues of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership are considered.

    The commitment of the parties to further intensify constructive mutually beneficial political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchanges was emphasized.

    Special attention is paid to the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached during the summit meetings.

    The sides exchanged views on topical issues of world and regional politics.

    An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the framework of the UN, the CIS, the SCO and other international institutions.

    Organizational and substantive aspects of upcoming events were discussed, including the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states in Tashkent on July 28-29, 2022.

    The Russian side has been informed about the progress and priority directions of the constitutional reform launched in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
