- The Termez Dialogue is an important international platform for reaching agreements and developing practical cooperation. The fact that this prestigious event is being held for the second time indicates that this initiative has become a sustainable and consistent process. The current meeting is an integral part of a large-scale policy of regional dialogue and cooperation, promoted at the initiative of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Termez dialogue can be viewed in the context of the Samarkand and Ferghana dialogue platforms, which have been actively developing in recent years. All these initiatives are interconnected and aimed at strengthening cooperation between neighboring States.

Although the main topic of today's dialogue is interconnectedness, its even more important task is to create an atmosphere of trust. Trust is the key condition for stability, peace, security and development. Such platforms play an important role in bringing peoples, societies and cultures closer together.

The peoples of Central and South Asia are united by a common history and civilizational roots. At a time when various conflicts and divisive tendencies are observed in the world, the importance of dialogue platforms that promote the unification of states and peoples is becoming increasingly important.

In this regard, I would like to once again congratulate Uzbekistan on this significant initiative. The fact that these platforms complement each other and form a single space for constructive interaction deserves special recognition.

The meeting is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the CICA.

The forum is attended by more than 150 representatives of political, business and expert circles, international and regional organizations from Central and South Asia, Europe, the CIS, the South Caucasus, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and America.

Among the partners and participants in the dialogue are the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, as well as leading think tanks, research institutions and peacekeeping structures, including the International Institute for Water Resources Management, the Center for Progressive Reforms, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Berghof Foundation, PeaceNexus, Search for Common Ground, Georgetown University, and other organizations.
