According to the Report, this is reported by the Yonhap news agency with reference to the South Korean military.
According to Seoul, soldiers of the Korean People's Army began work on November 24 and have already dismantled power lines in some areas between power poles along the Kenison Road. South Korean authorities expect North Korea to dismantle power transmission poles that have been out of operation since June 2020, when electricity supply was cut off after the bombing of the inter-Korean communications office in Kaesong.
The power lines were built by the South Korean side. A total of 48 tower supports have been installed to supply electricity to the industrial complex, 15 of them on the territory of the DPRK.
North and South Korea are separated by a 4 km wide demilitarized zone. At the beginning of the year, the DPRK planted mines and dismantled lighting from its side of the border. In October, the North Korean authorities announced plans to block transport links with the southern part of the Korean peninsula and build new defensive structures in the border areas.
