Mark Zuckerberg's company has introduced augmented reality glasses similar to real ones

Meta has unveiled a prototype of the first AR glasses that look almost like real ones. The device can translate live speech, show videos, arrange calls, but they will not sell glasses yet, Kursiv LifeStyle found out.

They look like real thick-rimmed glasses and weigh only 100 grams. According to the idea, this should significantly facilitate use compared to bulky AR helmets (for example, like Apple's Vision Pro).

Orion glasses are equipped with MicroLED screens with a 70-degree viewing angle, an integrated AI assistant, and a separate bracelet with EMG sensors to better track and respond to gestures.

The device can also be controlled by sight. All holograms are transmitted to the lenses using a small processor unit.

According to the wildest assumptions, in the future the gadget should replace smartphones: it can show movies, games, play video calls, correspondence, browser and even translate oral speech in real time.

It would seem that the future has already arrived, but there is a significant "but". The device cannot exist without recharging for more than a couple of hours, and its cost exceeds 10 thousand dollars. Therefore, until the device goes on sale, it will be finalized and developed, kz.kursiv.media reports.
