Kyrgyzstan has excluded the Taliban from the list of terrorist organizations

    The Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan has published a list of extremist terrorist organizations whose activities are prohibited by courts in the country.

    There are 20 organizations on the list. There is no Taliban movement among them, Anadolu reports.

    The Taliban was recognized as a terrorist movement in Kyrgyzstan in September 2006 by the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.

    The list of organizations banned by the courts includes, among others, Al-Qaeda, the Islamic Movement of East Turkestan, the Kurdish People's Congress (Kongra-Gel), the Organization for the Liberation of East Turkestan, the Hizbut-Tahrir-al-Islam movement.
