On October 22, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, who arrived in our country on a visit.

"We are glad to welcome the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, E.P. Jan Lipavsky, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan," the Uzbek Foreign Minister wrote on his telegram channel. - Our peoples have rich historical and humanitarian ties. Today we had an extensive agenda - enriching bilateral cooperation, facilitating regular exchanges, supporting more dynamic economic diplomacy, as well as pressing issues of a regional and global nature. We stressed that there are great opportunities for our partnership. The huge potential has not yet been realized. Together with my colleague, we also signed a memorandum on cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic."

It should be recalled that at the end of September, the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic held talks at the UN headquarters in New York, at which the parties' commitment to expanding trade and economic ties was confirmed.
