The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan discussed topical issues of cooperation within the CIS with his colleagues in Minsk

    On April 12, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov took part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs) in Minsk.

    Issues of the global and regional agenda, as well as cooperation within the CIS, were discussed at the meeting, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    During the meeting, a number of documents were signed aimed at strengthening multilateral ties in various areas, including in political, humanitarian and other spheres.

    The foreign ministers of the CIS member states unanimously decided to declare the cities of Ganja (Azerbaijan) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) sports capitals for 2025 and 2026, respectively.
