At the meeting, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) was familiarized in detail with the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan.

Gratitude was expressed to WHO for assistance to Uzbekistan in ensuring equal access to vaccines within the framework of the COVAX initiative.

In order to further expand the cooperation of the republic with WHO and to familiarize himself on the ground with the entire complex of transformations being carried out in the country in the field of healthcare, the Director General was invited to personally visit Uzbekistan in the near future.

The head of the WHO recalled with special warmth his recent meeting with the leadership of the Board of Trustees of the Mass Media Foundation in Geneva, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

The significant improvement of the healthcare system in recent years was noted and the readiness of the organization's experts to provide all possible assistance to the Government of Uzbekistan in the implementation of the large-scale reforms initiated in the healthcare sector was indicated.
