The symposium was held from August 30 to September 30 this year with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the symposium on the topic "Man and nature, climate change, preservation of green spaces, restoration of the Aral Sea" is to educate the ecological culture of the population, preserve environmental objects and monuments of historical and cultural heritage.

The symposium also serves to deepen the ideas of ecology and environmental protection in the minds of the Uzbek people through sculptural art.

It is worth noting that the symposium was organized for the second time, the first was held in Samarkand in August-September 2022. Seven foreign and five Uzbek sculptors took part in it. This year, 10 foreign and 11 Uzbek artists took part in the symposium.

During the month, Uzbek sculptors together with artists from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Iran, Belarus, Georgia, India, Great Britain, Argentina and Russia created unique examples of sculptural art.

Master classes for young sculptors and creative meetings with foreign artists were also organized within the framework of the symposium. In addition, a visit of foreign sculptors to the city of Samarkand was organized.

At the closing ceremony, the sculptors' works were highly appreciated, and certificates were awarded to all participants.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, 21 sculptures created by artists and dedicated to ecology and environmental protection are planned to be installed on the territory of Green University. In addition, sculptures made during the symposium will be installed in parks, recreation areas, entertainment and tourist centers of Tashkent, which will undoubtedly give aesthetic beauty to the city and its architecture.
