Representatives of the Institute of Global Change were familiarized with the main functions and tasks of the ASR - coordination of the work of ministries and departments within the areas outlined in Presidential Decree No. PP-109 dated March 4, 2024, economic development of the regions of Uzbekistan, especially the Tashkent region, as well as international cooperation with foreign consulting companies and IFIs.
Jalil Rashid, in turn, spoke about the Institute's projects implemented in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Vietnam. The main vector of the Institute's interaction is the provision of consulting support in priority areas for the leaders of the countries. For example, in the Philippines, the Institute provides advisory services to the President's Results Management Group (Delivery Unit). In Indonesia and India, he is working on improving the health care system, economic issues and digitalization.
The Institute also implemented the program "Free school meals" in Indonesia, "Free health screening" in India for the formation of a digital medical record and forecasting. In addition, the Institute's staff advised the President of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the holding of the UN Climate Change Conference COP28.
The British side informed that when establishing cooperation, the Institute is ready to open a regional branch in Uzbekistan, which will interact not only with Uzbekistan, but also with neighboring countries.
At the end of the discussions, the parties came to an agreement on cooperation in the development of the transport system, which plays an important role in stimulating economic growth.
