The issues of accelerating the launch of the joint project "Digital Inclusion in Uzbekistan" with the participation of the World Bank were discussed

    Today, on April 4, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank.

    During the meeting, issues of implementing a large-scale project "Digital Inclusion in Uzbekistan" with the participation of the World Bank were discussed. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to implement measures for the development of the digital economy, e-government, digital infrastructure, and IT education.

    Special attention was paid to such an important area as the development of BPO and KPO services. As it was noted, increasing the employment of young people through their broad involvement in the field of ICT and the creation of high-paying jobs is one of the priorities in the activities of the Ministry.

    With this in mind, within the framework of the project "Digital Inclusion in Uzbekistan" with the participation of the World Bank, it is planned to create and equip remote service centers (BPO centers).

    The parties noted the importance of the project within the framework of Uzbekistan's digital development and expressed readiness to mobilize all efforts for its effective implementation and expansion of cooperation in the field of ICT.
