The possibilities of studying in the USA in bachelor's and master's degrees were discussed

    First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation KomiljonKarimov met with Miles Hansen, President of the Stirling Foundation, a non-governmental charitable foundation in the USA.

    During the meeting, promising issues of bilateral cooperation in 2024 were discussed, including the possibility of financing and implementing projects in the field of higher and vocational education, science and innovation in Uzbekistan by the Stirling Foundation, issues of teaching English at universities in Uzbekistan, the allocation of educational grants for study in the United States.

    The American side put forward a number of proposals regarding the creation of exchange programs in the field of higher education, further expansion of cooperation between higher educational institutions, as well as the possibility of studying in the United States in bachelor's and master's degrees. In particular, the possibilities of providing grants for training in business management, management, engineering, healthcare and other fields at Brigham Young University-Utah and Brigham Young University-Idaho were considered.

    In addition, the foundation has put forward proposals for the introduction of distance education in Uzbekistan, in particular for the population who cannot get an education (women on maternity leave, who do not have a permanent place of residence, etc.).

    The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to fully support the proposal to attract English language specialists from US universities to teach English in Uzbek universities, including lectures, seminars and master classes, as well as the provision of educational grants for the youth of Uzbekistan.
