Thus, during the meeting with the chairman of the parliamentary friendship Association "Korea - Uzbekistan" Park Kwang, He exchanged views on the intensification of cooperation between parliaments in order to further strengthen bilateral relations, enrich them with practical content.
In particular, in order to further develop inter-parliamentary cooperation, it was proposed to hold a regular meeting of friendship groups in Seoul in 2024.
They also discussed issues of expanding ties with the Commission for Cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, headed by the Chairman of the Senate, in order to ensure parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level ("road maps") and the entire complex of Uzbek-Korean cooperation.
At the same time, the parties focused on socio-economic spheres, including poverty reduction and creation of new jobs, improvement of the healthcare system, projects to mitigate the negative effects of the drying up of the Aral Sea, and improvement of the ecosystem of the Aral Sea region.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further strengthening cooperation on all issues discussed.
