The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan receives the delegation of the Russian Federation

    On November 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Russian Federation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of this country Dmitry Chernyshenko.

    The Russian delegation also included Ministers Alexei Chekunkov and Sergei Kravtsov.

    The parties discussed current issues of further enhancing multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Russia in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level.

    At the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko conveyed greetings to the President of Uzbekistan on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

    During the conversation, special attention was paid to enhancing educational and humanitarian exchange between the countries, including the activities and launch of new branches of leading Russian universities in Uzbekistan, and training highly qualified teaching staff.

    The importance of adopting a joint roadmap for establishing practical partnerships between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Far Eastern regions of Russia was emphasized.

    Interest was noted in increasing mutual tourist flow and holding joint cultural and sporting events.
