The President of Uzbekistan speaks in favor of further developing interparliamentary relations with Egypt

    On May 30, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt led by its Chairman Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq.

    The Chairman of the Senate conveyed to the Leader of Uzbekistan the warm greetings and sincere wishes of the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

    Current issues of further developing a comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Egypt and enhancing multifaceted cooperation were considered.

    The ongoing contacts and exchanges at all levels were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover and the number of joint ventures are growing. Cooperation projects in geology, agriculture, energy, and tourism are being implemented together with leading companies in Egypt.

    The importance of actively developing inter-parliamentary relations, creating friendship groups in legislative bodies, ensuring parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level, and exchanging experience in ensuring rights and expanding opportunities for women was emphasized.

    Particular attention was paid to continuing practical interaction within the framework of international structures, particularly the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Arab Parliament.
