At the beginning of the conversation, Rashid Meredov conveyed greetings and good wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The current issues of further developing friendship, good neighborliness, and an in-depth strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed.

The growth in mutual trade turnover was noted with particular satisfaction. The Shavat-Dashoguz trade zone is being created. Mutually beneficial cooperation continues in industrial cooperation, energy, transport and logistics, and agriculture.

Interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange are enhancing. This year, several events will be held in Uzbekistan to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the poet Magtymguly Fragi’s birth.

Particular attention was paid to forming a new agenda for multifaceted partnership in preparation for the upcoming summit meetings.
