Leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda

    On August 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

    The issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and deepening comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.

    The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 26-28 this year.

    Particular attention was paid to issues of taking coordinated measures to increase the volume of trade turnover, developing cooperation between leading enterprises and regions of the two countries, and implementing joint investment projects and humanitarian programs.

    The schedule of the upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was also discussed during the conversation.
