"We set ourselves the task not only to preserve one of the largest green areas of the capital, but also to fill the territory with new and diverse trees, shrubs and flowering plants," said Zafar Mirzaulukov, deputy director of the Gafur Gulyam Park. "Soon it will be possible to really relax here, preserving harmony with nature."

In the park, all stalls, cafes and places where kebabs are cooked were removed. Much attention was paid to landscape design, the park was kept as natural and harmonious as possible. Most importantly, the trees in the park have been preserved, and the irrigation system has been completely updated, Uzreport reports.

Another interesting thing was returned to the park - the Ferris wheel. The attraction offers a beautiful view of our capital. There are not many places in Tashkent where you can enjoy the view of the city from such a height. The wheel is equipped with covered cabins and an air conditioning system.

The number of rides in the park has been reduced to make room for walking and running tracks. The existing attractions were changed to more modern and safe types.

Two lakes located in the park have been completely reconstructed: hydraulic systems have been replaced, beach areas and places for recreation surrounded by nature have been created around the lakes. In one of the lakes you can go boating and catamarans, and the second lake is reserved for ducks.
