The report notes that from December 18, the QIWI Uzbekistan application will stop working. The company recommended its users to withdraw their funds to bank cards.

At the same time, QIWI notes that from November 16, the service will start charging a commission of 75 thousand soums daily for storing money on the balance sheet, since the company cannot hold customers' money.

According to QIWI, after December 18, customers can withdraw funds from the wallet only upon application. The company stressed that the transfer of funds from a local wallet to a foreign one is impossible.

QIWI payment service notes that this decision was made due to restrictions on international transfers and payments introduced by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan for payment services in September.

"Now the wallet in Uzbekistan has a rather limited functionality - only payment for local services and transfers to local bank cards are available. At the same time, almost 90% of users used our wallet specifically to pay for foreign services and international transfers. These options are currently unavailable due to restrictions imposed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on all payment systems," QIWI said in a statement.
