According to the information of the Consulate General of our country, after the citizen's relatives asked to cancel his contract, the department sent requests to the relevant authorities of St. Petersburg, including the Ombudsman of the Leningrad Region, the Dune news agency reports.

In a reply letter, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Leningrad Region, Sergei Shabanov, said that he had sent a request to the regional military district to verify the case.

As a result, the contract with our compatriot was not concluded, as he refused to participate in his military service in Ukraine and was returned from the military unit.

His family was informed of the positive decision. They thanked the Consulate General for promptly protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens abroad.
