During the meeting, it was emphasized that the negotiations between the leaders of the two countries during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France in 2018 marked a new stage of interstate cooperation.
The issues of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level and the effective use of the institute of parliamentary control for these purposes were discussed.
It was noted at the meeting that in recent years, thanks to the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, positive changes are taking place in all spheres and sectors of the country, democratic processes are being carried out.
In addition, attention was also focused on the development of cooperation in support of trade and economic, investment projects, tourism and culture, education, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and ensuring gender equality, the information service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
