Here, the Head of state talked with representatives of the older generation and the intelligentsia.
“Today, we came here to find an answer to the question of the future of eight districts and three cities of Navoi region. Fortunately, our population is approaching 38 million. We need to create a solid foundation for our people. Why are we building such new towns? Because the younger generation is growing up. We will create conditions in each region so that young people can work and live with dignity where they were born”, the President said.
To implement the project, 1,100 hectares of land were transferred from Karmana district to Navoi city. In the first stage, 450 hectares are planned to be built.
Residential buildings from 7 to 22 storeys high, secondary schools for 4,170 children, kindergartens for 1,620 children and a clinic will be built in the town. The New Uzbekistan Park and the new campus of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute will also be located here.
The President noted that despite the Navoi region’s developed industry, the service sector’s potential has not yet been fully utilized. Therefore, park areas, entertainment centers, shops, and catering outlets will be created in the town.
The project directorate will coordinate the construction of the town. Land plots will be put up for electronic auction, and investment agreements will be concluded with the winning construction organizations.
