The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, its regional divisions and system organizations, under the motto "Nature without Waste", conducted the Plogging tour eco-movement and the Picnic Culture campaign in ecotourism sites throughout the republic.

The purpose of the events is to widely promote environmental education, recreation and picnic culture among young people, as well as to form an idea of ecotourism among the population as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Program for the implementation of the strategy "Uzbekistan 2030" in the Year of Environmental Protection and the "Green Economy".

It should be noted that at the height of the holiday season, popular ecotourism zones in the regions turn out to be overflowing with waste. Within the framework of the Picnic Culture campaign, special attention was paid to the formation of a responsible attitude towards nature: the inadmissibility of pollution of natural territories was emphasized, the need to dispose of garbage exclusively in specially designated places or, in their absence, to take waste with them. Otherwise, guided only by our own convenience, we cause serious and sometimes irreversible damage to nature.

As part of the Plogging tour campaign, more than 40 tons of waste were collected throughout the republic. In particular, more than 1 ton of garbage was collected on the territory of a youth camp in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region as part of the Eco-Camp 2025.

For reference: in the Presidential decree "On approval of the Concept of improving the ecological culture of the population until 2030," special attention is paid to the formation of eco-culture among the younger generation. Plogging activities contribute to the formation of a culture of non-pollution among young people, separate collection and recycling of waste, as well as increasing environmental responsibility.
