The translation into Italian was carried out by the Sandro Teti Editore publishing house with the support of Uzbek literature enthusiasts and sponsors from Italy, the Dune news agency reports.
The translation of "Lisona ut-Tyr" was performed by highly qualified and experienced translators and editors. The work begins with a preface by Marco Di Branco, a renowned Italian historian and scholar specializing in Oriental studies, Professor at Sapienza University of Rome.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy, Abat Fayzullayev, held a meeting with the founder and head of the Sandro Teti Editore publishing house, Sandro Teti, and received his first impressions of the translation and work process.
"Alisher Navoi's work is an incomparable and great legacy not only of the Uzbek people, but also of all mankind," Sandro Teti said, adding that it was a great honor for him to translate this work.
The translation of "Lisong ut-Tyr" is planned to be presented at events dedicated to the 585th anniversary of Alisher Navoi.
