Currently, four libraries in Istanbul have a significant collection of illustrated manuscripts by Alisher Navoi.

Among them, three collections include (https://madaniymeros.uz/news/499?lang=ru)books (https://madaniymeros.uz/news/499?lang=ru) taken from the treasury of former Ottoman emperors in the library of the Topkapi Palace Museum and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art of the Library of Istanbul University.

However, the Sulaymaniyah library stores books from Ottoman charitable foundations of that time. Some of them belonged to members of the ruling dynasty.

The seventeen manuscripts presented here date back to the first half of the XVI century. All of them belong to the Turkish-Persian world, which extends from Herat to Istanbul, from Bukhara to Shiraz.
