Karakalpak language celebrates 36th anniversary of receiving status as State Language

    Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Urinbaev sent a congratulatory message on December 1, the day the Karakalpak language was granted the status of the State Language.

    The congratulatory text emphasizes that language is not only a means of communication but also an invaluable treasure that has reached us without losing its value over many centuries.

    "We must especially emphasize that the role of the mother tongue is unique in defining the specific features of every nation, the stages of development, and the future of every people.

    It is the sacred duty of all of us to cherish this invaluable wealth and pass it on unspoiled to future generations. Therefore, understanding the importance of this task, we strongly believe that all of you show dedication in educating our youth in the spirit of devotion to our mother tongue and national values.

    I once again sincerely congratulate all of you on the 36th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Karakalpakstan “On the State Language”, and wish you all good health, prosperity to your homes, and great success in your noble work towards the further prosperity of our country," the congratulatory text states.
