Russia is interested in recruiting Uzbek citizens to work in Russian enterprises

    On November 28, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov.

    During the meeting, the tasks facing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to streamline external labor migration, ensure the protection and rights of Uzbek citizens abroad were discussed.

    An exchange of views took place on the above issues and a number of constructive agreements were reached on joint measures for the organized recruitment of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to work in Russian enterprises. The Russian side confirmed its continued interest in sending Uzbek citizens to work in the Russian Federation in an organized manner.

    An agreement was reached on the creation of a working format for weekly bilateral meetings between senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of the Russian Federation to discuss issues related to the regulation of migration flows.
