During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the social protection system in Uzbekistan, the improvement of social assistance programs and the implementation of joint projects.
The issues of improving the system of providing social services, the development of rehabilitation and social adaptation for people with disabilities, as well as improving the provision of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation were also touched upon. There was an exchange of views on improving the system of social payments.
This meeting was the first in the framework of the World Bank's mission to strengthen social protection, which will last until September 15.
