    During her visit to Moscow, the Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko.

    During the meeting, issues related to the development of cultural and humanitarian dialogue and support for public initiatives were discussed, which is an important area of Uzbek-Russian relations.

    "We noted with satisfaction the high level of inter-parliamentary cooperation and interregional exchanges.

    Special attention was paid to projects in the field of education and culture. Assistance in opening new branches of Russian universities, joint programs for young people, as well as cultural initiatives contribute to strengthening friendship between our countries.

    We also discussed the implementation of social projects aimed at supporting veterans and children. We agreed that cultural dialogue and humanitarian exchange remain an important foundation of bilateral relations," Saida Mirziyoyeva wrote.
