The 12th plenary session of the Senate discussed the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025".
The speakers noted that reforms aimed at the socio-economic development of the country are being consistently implemented, including creating favorable living conditions for the population, reducing poverty, improving the welfare of the people, developing education, healthcare, culture and sports, as well as other areas.
This year, a number of presidential decrees and resolutions have been adopted aimed at solving urgent social problems in the regions, important issues related to the infrastructure of mahallas, and the development of other areas.
It was emphasized that there was a need to ensure timely financing of the implemented measures and identify sources of additional costs.
This Law introduces amendments providing for the financing of activities under the program "From Poverty to Prosperity" and the allocation of additional funds for activities related to improving energy efficiency in apartment buildings and social institutions.
In addition, it provides for the optimization of part of the funds and their allocation to additional expenses in the framework of increasing the targeted and effective use of budget funds, strengthening budget discipline.
The senators stressed that the amendments to the Law on the State Budget for 2025 serve to timely finance measures aimed at the socio-economic development of the country.
At the end of the discussion, the senators approved the Law.
