The meeting was also attended by the heads and employees of the diplomatic missions of the two countries.

According to the agenda, the state and prospects of bilateral relations were discussed, proposals for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, interregional cooperation, and the implementation of agreements reached during bilateral meetings of the heads of the chambers of parliaments of the two countries were considered. The sides exchanged views on a number of planned joint events.

The sides stressed that the results achieved in bilateral cooperation, the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue, the establishment and strengthening of mutually beneficial trade, economic, political, legal, cultural and humanitarian ties fully meet the aspirations and interests of the peoples of the two countries, which are bound by ties of friendship.

The readiness was expressed to continue building up the inter-parliamentary partnership on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation of joint trade and investment projects included in the relevant roadmaps. Mutual interest and readiness for close cooperation in providing parliamentary assistance in their practical implementation were confirmed. In this context, the importance of holding the next Uzbek-Belarusian Forum of Regions under the auspices of the parliaments of the two countries was noted.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, we agreed to continue fruitful contacts through the interparliamentary cooperation groups of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus on the effective implementation of the tasks set in the interests of the citizens of the two countries.
