On the morning of August 22, the American space company SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which launched into orbit a secret Boeing X-37B orbital aircraft (spaceplane) commissioned by the US Space Force (USSF).

As AZERTAC reports with reference to the universemagazine publication, the mission called OTV-8 became the eighth in the history of the Boeing X-37B project.

The launch vehicle with a spaceplane was launched from the LC-39A site located at the John F. Kennedy Space Center (Florida). After 8 minutes and 40 seconds, the first stage of the rocket, which was used for the sixth time, landed on a special site near the launch site, and a few minutes later the Boeing X-37B was launched into orbit.

The main objective of the OTV-8 mission is to test two promising technologies. We are talking about a new laser communication system that allows the transmission of large amounts of data and is more secure than radio communications.
