The event discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, the huge changes taking place in the two countries, as well as the interconnectedness and consonance of the reforms carried out in them. In addition, the sides exchanged views on the foreign policy of the two states, cooperation in Central Asia, and topical issues on the international agenda.
In his report, the Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Eurasian Affairs drew the attention of experts to a number of important and topical issues: Uzbek-Chinese relations and practical partnership in various fields, public administration, China's policy towards Central Asia, regional and international problems, in particular, the situation in Afghanistan and others.
Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers Rustambek Kurbanov, Director of the International Institute of Central Asia Anvar Nasyrov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan Sanjar Valiev, Executive Director of the Center "Development Strategy" Eldor Tulyakov, who spoke at the event, analyzed the features of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
It was noted that the relations between our countries, which began during the Great Silk Road and lasted for centuries, especially in recent years, have reached an unprecedented level and have reached a completely new stage of strategic partnership.
The two countries effectively cooperate within the framework of many major international and regional structures, such as the UN, the SCO and others, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.
It was emphasized that, today China is one of the largest trade and economic partners of our republic. Dozens of successful projects of international importance in various fields are being implemented jointly. Within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, a number of projects aimed at the development of transport infrastructure were put forward.
During the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China, the parties put forward specific ideas and proposals aimed at further development of comprehensive cooperation between two countries.
