The holy month of Ramadan will begin on April 2

    On March 31 of this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the dignified conduct of the holy month of Ramadan.

    The Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, the administrations of the regions and Tashkent, in cooperation with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Ministry for the Support of the Mahalla and the Older Generation and public organizations, were instructed to take measures to hold Ramadan in the spirit inherent in national traditions and values.

    For Ramadan, educational events and propaganda work aimed at respecting such qualities as humanity, gratitude, patience and satisfaction will be launched in Uzbekistan.

    The date of the celebration of the month of Ramadan was jointly agreed by the Muslim administrations of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

    The month will begin on April 2, end on May 1: the fast will last 30 days, on May 2 - Eid al-Adha. The night of April 27-28 is the Night of Predestination (Laylatul-Frame).
