Tashkent and Baku expand cultural cooperation

    Acting Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov received a delegation headed by Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Muradov.

    At the beginning of the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, Sh. Umurzakov thanked the guests for the visit and congratulated them on the recent 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, a well-known Azerbaijani political and public figure.

    Stressing the progressive development of bilateral relations on the basis of documents and agreements signed at high-level meetings of the two heads of state, he noted that there is a great untapped potential in the economy, services, culture, tourism, education and other areas. In particular, in order to accelerate cultural cooperation, he proposed to hold Baku Days in Tashkent and Tashkent Days in Baku.

    In turn, F. Muradov thanked for the reception, highly appreciated the level of landscaping and landscaping of our capital, and expressed special gratitude for the respect and attention to the culture of Azerbaijan, and more than 40 thousand Azerbaijanis living in the capital.

    At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the practical dialogue, expand friendly and partnership relations.
