During the talks, issues of expanding the tourist and business flow, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of aviation were discussed. It was noted that a visa-free regime is in effect for Czech citizens, and the practice of issuing tourist visas for Uzbek citizens is showing positive dynamics, Dune news agency reports.

Martin Tatek emphasized the high potential of Uzbek cultural and historical tourism for Czech tourists. According to him, Czech travelers noted the rich historical heritage, well-developed tourist infrastructure and high level of service. He also said that Uzbekistan is considered as a promising destination for the Czech business community.

The meeting participants stressed that the launch of regular direct flights is an essential factor for the effective development of tourism cooperation and business ties. It is stated that currently the majority of passengers use transit flights through Istanbul, which reduces the competitiveness of the route. Direct flights from Prague to Tashkent will allow tour operators and individual tourists to plan trips in advance, create travel packages and conduct effective marketing.

The Czech side noted Uzbekistan Airways as a potential key partner, while leaving open the possibility of cooperation with other airlines, including private ones. In order to further discuss the launch of flights, an additional online meeting is planned in early March with the participation of Prague Airport, the national airline and interested private carriers, at which incentive measures and conditions for regular flights will be considered.
