Tashkent is the leader in the number of operating enterprises in Uzbekistan - statistics by region

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of April 1, 2026, 577.2 thousand enterprises and organizations operate in Uzbekistan. Over the year, their number increased by 41.3 thousand, or by 7.7%.

Tashkent city remains the leader in the number of operating enterprises - 109,781. Followed by Tashkent region - 54,542, Samarkand region - 53,457 and Ferghana region - 49,303.

A significant number of enterprises are also registered in Kashkadarya (44,221), Andijan (35,524), Bukhara (35,098) and Namangan (33,796) regions.

In other regions, the indicators were distributed as follows: Khorezm region - 32,512, Surkhandarya region - 32,030, the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 29,471, Jizzakh region - 26,741, Navoi region - 24,208, Syrdarya region - 16,522.

Thus, the largest concentration of business remains in the capital and large industrial regions of the country.
