During the
working visit of the khokim of the Tashkent region Zoir Mirzayev to the
Republic of Belarus, a new strategic document was signed designed to give an
additional impetus to the development of interregional partnership.
Vasily
Sysoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, and
the khokim of the Tashkent region signed a roadmap for cooperation for
2026-2028, providing for the further implementation of the cooperation
agreement between the two regions concluded on September 12, 2018.
The
document defines the main areas of cooperation for the next three years. Among
the priorities are the expansion of trade and economic ties, the development of
direct contacts between entrepreneurs, the supply of Belarusian industrial and
agricultural products to the Tashkent region, the deepening of cooperation in
the processing of Uzbek cotton yarn, as well as the exchange of modern
technologies and best practices in the agro-industrial complex.
The roadmap
pays special attention to the development of cultural and humanitarian
cooperation, the expansion of interregional contacts and the strengthening of
friendly ties between the two regions.
It is
expected that the implementation of the document will make it possible to bring
cooperation between the Tashkent and Minsk regions to a qualitatively new
level, create conditions for launching joint projects and further expanding
mutually beneficial partnership.
