One of the country's most important issues is employment. Today, 25 professional education institutions operate in Navoi region, where 12 thousand citizens study. Qualified teachers and 234 masters of industrial training are assigned to them.
Polytechnic No. 2 has 41 classrooms and a laboratory, an assembly hall and a sports hall for 350 people, a dormitory for 100 people, and a canteen. Training is conducted in daytime, correspondence, evening, and dual forms for school graduates and citizens of different ages.
Large industrial enterprises of the region are of great importance in training specialists. For example, the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company specifically trains welders and turners, the Navoiazot JSC trains chemists and laboratory assistants, and the Navoi Thermal Power Plant trains electrical fitters. For this purpose, industrial enterprises have opened their branches in the technical school. Students simultaneously master a profession and receive wages for the work they do.
Together with the mahallas, unemployed citizens, people with insufficient qualifications, and women who want to work are involved in the educational process. These enterprises hire those who master the profession well.
The President also talked to women studying at the technical school.
“I am glad to see that you have confidence and aspiration. Master a profession and find your place in life. We will support you so that you find happiness in work”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
In addition, dual and short-term training courses have been organized jointly with the textile enterprises Mengi Textile Group and Navbahor Qorajon. After receiving the necessary skills, women are hired in sewing workshops.
In the carpentry workshop, students make doors, tables, and chairs that are in demand in the region. They work and study simultaneously, helping their families.
Also, training courses on the production of national handicrafts have been organized for people with disabilities.
Training centers have been created in the departments of veterinary medicine and livestock farming to improve the qualifications of specialists.
It should be noted that cooperation agreements have been signed between education institutions of the Navoi region and 51 enterprises. More than a thousand unemployed citizens have received training since the beginning of the year.
