Projects worth $26 billion are planned to be implemented in Tashkent region

    Tashkent region has enormous economic potential due to its proximity to the capital and its role as a hub connecting the valleys of the country and international roads. Over the past seven years, the region has attracted investments worth almost $9.4 billion, created more than 143 thousand jobs and export opportunities worth $5 billion.

    125 projects worth $26 billion are planned for 2024-2026. Of these, 21 are strategic, 52 are industry-specific, and 52 are regional projects. These initiatives are expected to create 42 thousand jobs.

    11 projects worth $3.4 billion were presented to the Head of state.

    Investors include companies from China, South Korea, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Azerbaijan, as well as local entrepreneurs. 23 thousand jobs will be created in the textile, food, medical, electrical, energy, construction, geological, service, and other industries.

    For example, together with Chinese investors, the Great Silk Road industrial technopark will be created in the city of Olmaliq. More than a hundred projects worth $1 billion will be located here, creating about 3 thousand new jobs.

    In Zangiata district, together with South Korean investors, the production of medical products for treating liver, joint, eye, and brain diseases will be established. This production will employ 200 people.

    The President instructed creating all the necessary conditions for investors, monitoring each stage of projects, and promptly resolving emerging issues.
