UpStream BPO announces the establishment of a new office in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan

    Representatives of IT Park held a meeting with Ahmed Qayum, the founder of the well-known Malaysian outsourcing company UpStream BPO.

    UpStream BPO is already one of the largest BPO service providers in Asia with over 5,000 employees and offices in Malaysia and Singapore.

    During the meeting, Ahmed Qayum confirmed plans to open a new office in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan, expanding its presence in Central Asia.

    The decision to open a new office in Uzbekistan is in line with UpStream BPO's strategy to enter emerging markets and take advantage of growing economic opportunities in Central Asia. Uzbekistan, thanks to its strategically advantageous geographical location and dynamic economic growth, will become an ideal base for servicing both local and international markets.

    The new UpStream BPO division in Syrdarya will focus on several critical business functions, including human resources management, financial technology, cybersecurity and general business process outsourcing. To get acquainted with the country's human resources potential and the education system, a meeting was organized with representatives of INHA University, during which the parties reached an agreement on joint training of specialists and their subsequent employment in UpStream BPO in Uzbekistan. Using a local talent pool, UpStream BPO strives to provide high-quality outsourcing services that are globally competitive.

    During his visit to Uzbekistan, Ahmed Qayyum also visited the MAAB Innovation company. The meeting with Maab Innovation was aimed at deepening cooperation, and during the negotiations, the parties came to a decision to attract MAAB Innovation graduates to the new UpStream BPO office. It was decided to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which will strengthen partnerships and ensure a continuous flow of qualified personnel. In addition, during the visit, a meeting was organized at Unicall, where opportunities for joint projects were discussed, which opens up new prospects for both sides.

    It is expected that the opening of the new office will significantly increase Uzbekistan's export potential in the field of information technology, as well as have a positive impact on the local economy, creating high-quality jobs.
