Uzbekistan - Belarus: issues of strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and development of ties between the regions were discussed

    Within the framework of the II Global Forum on Interparliamentary Cooperation in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals, which is taking place in Tashkent, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Valery Belsky.

    The current state and prospects of Uzbek-Belarusian relations were discussed, in particular, issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and developing ties between the regions.

    It was emphasized that the business circles of our countries, especially businesswomen, are implementing mutually beneficial projects, and the business forum of businesswomen has become an effective platform for discussing and developing new proposals to strengthen trade and economic ties.

    It was noted that it is necessary to exercise effective parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements in the field of economy, trade and industry, which have been reached at a high level, as well as combine efforts to ensure their legislative support.

    At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue mutual support for the initiatives of the parties within the framework of international parliamentary structures.
