The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Meat Producers and Processors "Eco meat" of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main topic of discussions is the establishment of supplies of cattle hides to Uzbekistan.

The topic for Uzbekistan, which claims to be the raw materials hub of Central Asia, is very relevant. As it was noted at the meeting, our country has large capacities for processing hides. There are more than 30 leather processing enterprises operating in the republic, and 1,641 billion square meters of leather come off the assembly lines per year. The country has huge production reserves and today also buys cattle hides from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan for complete processing and production of finished leather and semi-finished leather, further export to the CIS. Kyrgyzstan is also interested in the supply of hides.

Cooperation is expected in several directions at once. First, the supply of hides from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. To do this, the partner party has begun to study our national and international requirements for the supplied hides.

Secondly, Uzbekistan can help in equipping the slaughter enterprises of the partner country with advanced automated equipment, the production of which is also established and meets foreign quality standards. For this purpose, participation at the meeting of representatives of the Uzbekistan plant for the production and equipment of "turnkey" activated livestock slaughter enterprises was organized.

The third area for cooperation is the creation of cooperative ties between the profile associations of the two countries, which will include a range of issues, including the establishment of export-import operations, the creation of joint projects and the exchange of experience in the development of the leather and footwear industry.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize business tours to Kyrgyzstan for a detailed study of each of the areas of cooperation.
