Uzbekistan and China strengthen cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and response

    The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General Botir Kudratkhodjayev took part in a meeting of the heads of emergency departments of the countries participating in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which was held in Sanya, Hainan Province of the People's Republic of China.

    The event was attended by representatives of 35 participating countries and partners of the initiative, as well as experts from more than 10 international organizations.

    The participants discussed the development of a mechanism for joint emergency response, the exchange of experience in disaster management and the introduction of innovative technologies in rescue operations.

    A bilateral meeting of the Ministers of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and China was held within the framework of the forum, following which a protocol on cooperation was signed.

    The document is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the parties in the field of emergency prevention and response, exchange of experience, training and joint exercises. The parties also agreed to establish links between the educational institutions of the ministries, as well as to promote the professional development of teachers based on foreign experience.
