The meeting was attended by employees of the Ministry headed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Akhadbek Haidarov, as well as representatives of the IMF mission John Middleton, Suprie De and Modestas Kaselauskas headed by Vincent de Paul Kukpaizan.

According to the information service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, during the meeting, the results of the final report of the diagnostic tool for assessing tax administration (TADAT), prepared by the IMF mission led by Vincent de Paul Kukpaizan, who visited Uzbekistan in July this year, were discussed. The reforms implemented in the sphere of the tax system and administration of Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as the results achieved, were particularly noted.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on the possible attraction of IMF technical assistance to improve Uzbekistan's tax policy and tax administration, in particular, reducing the shadow economy, managing tax risks, managing tax disputes and improving other tax systems.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize an additional meeting to discuss the results of the mission's research.
